While both versions share the same general plot, there are minor plot details, levels and some features between the two versions that are different. And the "next-gen" version for then next-generation Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 consoles are developed by Ubisoft Shanghai and Ubisoft Annecy (for multiplayer modes). The "current-gen" version for original Xbox, PlayStation 2, Nintendo GameCube and Wii is developed by Ubisoft Montreal, the series' primary developer.
